Swimming

Our unique pool offers a fantastic facility for swimmers of all ages and all abilities. It also offers a proud history of record breaking achievements.

Portland Baths is a traditional 4 lane 30 metre pool that first opened 100 years ago. Today it hosts five swimming clubs, a thriving swim school, daytime school swimming as well as public swimming.

The pool is open seven days a week for public swimming at a variety of times to suit all types of swimmers and includes special sessions for Families, Adults, Ladies and the Over 50s. Make a splash and feel fitter by swimming lengths – many do – or try our Aqua Aerobics class on a Monday morning. Whatever you try you’ll sure to join the ranks of those that “Love Portland Baths”.
